Background

Purpose

  • The project was designed to give the development road frontage appeal, raise its profile and fulfill the requirements of the resource consent conditions.

  • It also intended to provide newly developed reserve areas for the public that extend existing council reserves and walkways in the area.

Scope

  • Stage 1 – initial planting of the subdivision entry, including bank stabilisation planting and feature planting.

  • Stage 2 – completion of planting, including further entry planting, street trees, traffic island, stormwater ponds and rain gardens.

  • Stage 3 – stormwater retention control rain garden plantings.

  • Ongoing maintenance – ecological weed control and plant replacements.
