Wetlands as the name suggests are areas on the margins of land that are wet.

A wetland can be an area of marsh, fen, peatland, swamp, bog or water, it can be natural or constructed, permanent or temporary, with water that is static or flowing, fresh, brackish or salt.

Commonly wetlands are described as either constructed (man-made) or natural and they have a variety of uses that include:

    • Subdivision development
    • Stormwater, erosion & sediment control
    • Improving water quality
    • Wastewater treatment
    • Habitats for rare and threatened wildlife
    • Recreation, tourism and education

Wetland Solutions is experienced in the assessment, planning, design, implementation and maintenance of constructed and natural wetlands.
