Wetland Solutions were the successful party in securing the Tender for Works for the Weed Control and Restoration of the Manawa Wetland and Amenity Reserve, based in New Lynn for Waitakere City Council.

Background
The Manawa Wetland and Stream are a significant amenity in the Waitakere region and form an important link from the Waitakere foothills to the Waitemata Harbour.
Purpose

This project was set up to control environmental weeds at the site and plant eco-sourced native plants to aid restoration.

The ultimate aim was to increase biodiversity, the provision of natural habitat for native fauna and to increase recreational, educational, scientific, aesthetic and cultural values for the wider community.
